The BDPA National High School Computer Competition, (HSCC), was founded in 1986 by Dr. Jesse Bemley, of Washington, D.C. What started as a two-team event between Washington, D.C. and Atlanta, Ga. has grown to near 30 teams of various high school students from chapters throughout the nation. It's all designed to introduce our Youth (entering 9th through 12th grades) to the field of Information Technology, encourage them to seek higher levels of education, and groom many of them to become our next generation of IT professionals.

Through BDPA members, volunteers, parents, and corporate sponsorship, students are instructed in a broad and proven curriculum provided to thousands of high school students annually from BDPA Chapters across the nation.

Student Information Technology Education & Scholarship Program

The Philadelphia Chapter of Black Data Processiong Associates prepares for the annual HSCC through SITES (Student Information Technology Education & Scholarship) a computer instructional program available to Philadelphia area students in grades 8 through 12. Participating students receive quality instruction in basic computer skills, computer programming, website development, public speaking, and career development.
